This classic big book recording Connecticut's participation in the Civil War is a first edition that has been rebound in a modern cloth binding. The text and numerous engravings are in remarkably good condition as shown above. The title page is probably in the worst condition because the onion skin protector for the frontpiece engraving caused foxing and a shadow of the engraving to appear. There are some markings on the front endpaper from the Danbury library where this was a reference book. The book has 891 pages with index and is a wealth of information for the historian, genealogical researcher or fan of militaria.
