In this item Lewis F. Powell, Jr., Supreme Court Justice, signs this fine postal cover honoring former Chief Justice Oliver Wendell Homes. Justice Powell, as noted in his Wikipedia biography, served from 1972 through 1987 and is most famous for his opinion supporting racial preferences in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke (1978) supporting abortion in Roe v. Wade and his vote for the sodomy conviction in Bowers v. Hardwick which he regretted after he retired. Price: SOLD
