1850s Hand Colored Stone Lithographs of Birds of the West California Raven
This California Raven with its colored head pictured along with its tail feathers and talons was observed during the California leg of the transcontinental railroad survey of the 1850s. In the top margin it says "USPRR Exp. & Surveys - Calif. & Oregon" and Birds --- Plate XXVI." The lithograph comes matted and in a protective clear plastic sleeve like the other birds in this series.
