1850s Hand Colored Stone Lithographs of Birds of the West Brandt's Cormorant
This big shore bird identified in the California expedition and survey published in 1859 has a wingspan of 50 inches is called Brandt's Cormorant. On the top margin of the print is says "U.S.P.R.R. Exp. & Surveys---California" and "Birds --- Plate X." Below is the lithograph as it will come to you matted and in a protective clear plastic sleeve.
