1873 Winslow Homer Wood Engraving "Sea-Side Sketches - A Clam-Bake" This is another of Winslow Homer's great seaside engravings from when he stayed in Gloucester, Massachusetts in the summer of 1873. Carefree boys in 1873 were apparently not tethered to the leash of their parents and were free to make their own amusement and lunch. Philip Beam in his book on Homer's wood engravings notes that,
The engraving is in great condition with full borders and it will come to you matted to 16 x 20 inches and enclosed in a protective plastic sleeve as shown below.
